Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that influence the decision to pay zakat profession in Palembang City. The data used in this study are cross section primary data obtained through online questionnaires and offline interviews to respondents with a total sample of 100 respondents. This research uses logistic regression method with the model used is the logit model. The results of study showed that education had a positive and significant effect with an odds ratio of 1.99 and, income had a positive and significant effect with an odds ratio of 7.46, knowledge of zakat had a positive and significant effect with an odds ratio of 15.52, and religiosity had a positive and significant effect with an odds ratio of 28.59 on the decision to pay zakat profession in Palembang City.
