Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh variasi bottom profile dimple terhadap keausan pada total hip arthroplasty. Kontribusi utama dalam penelitian ini adalah menemukan parameter bottom profile dimple yang paling meminimalisir keausan serta memperpanjang umur implan. Hal ini dapat dilakukan dengan melakukan pengembangan analisa elemen hingga untuk model total hip arthroplasty tanpa penambahan dimple dan dengan bottom profile dimple berjenis flat, ball, dan drill, serta melakukan pengukuran tekanan kontak dan prediksi keausan selama dua tahun penggunaan. Simulasi dilakukan dengan memberikan pemuatan fisiologis sambungan tulang pinggul secara 3D dalam kondisi berjalan normal. Pembaharuan geometri telah dilakukan berdasarkan kegiatan rutin sehari-hari yang dilakukan oleh pasien. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa penambahan dimple dapat mengurangi tekanan kontak dan keausan, serta parameter bottom profile dimple berjenis drill mampu meminimalisir keausan lebih baik secara signifikan diantara model total hip arthroplasty lainnya.
