Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of some leaf flour on the mortality of rice infestation pests (Sitophilus oryzae L.). The type of research used was an experiment with a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of six treatments (control, plant leaf flour A. cathartica L., S. polyanthum (Wight), A. conyzoides L., A. squamosa L. and J. curcas L.) with four replications. The highest percentage of mortality was in the treatment of J. curcas L. leaf flour with a percentage of deaths reaching 67% and the lowest percentage of mortality was in the treatment of A.cathartica L. leaf flour with a percentage of deaths 36%. One Path ANOVA Test Results with a 5% significance level showed that A. cathartica L., S. polyanthum (Wight), A. conyzoides L., A. squamosa L. and J. curcas L. leaf flour had a significant effect on mortality S. oryzae L. The conclusion of the results of this study is seen from the results of the ANOVA test, the five test plants were declared effective in killing S. oryzae L. but if effectiveness was seen from the mortality rate above 50%, plants that effectively killed S. oryzae L. pests is S. polyanthum (Weight), A. conyzoides L., A. squamosa L. and J. curcas L. Information of this research results is used as a learning resource in the form of LKPD (Student Worksheet) in class X biology learning related to Basic Competence of 3.8. Applying the clasificationprinciple to classify plants into the divisio based one observation and metagenesis of plants and linking their role in the continuity of life in the earth.
