Abstract
Salah satu jenis rumput laut dari genus Eucheuma yang cukup potensial dan banyak dijumpai di perairan Ketapang yaitu Eucheuma spinosum. Kecamatan Ketapang merupakan wilayah Kabupaten Lampung Selatan yang berpotensi untuk dimanfaatkan sebagai lokasi budidaya laut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui lokasi baru pengembangan kegiatan budidaya rumput laut secara berkelanjutan baik menggunakan metode lepas dasar, rakit apung dan longline. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode skoring dan pembobotan seluruh data parameter, sedangkan untuk analisis spasial menggunakan metode tumpang susun (overlay) yang menggabungkan seluruh peta hasil interpolasi untuk memuat informasi baru dengan mencocokan kriteria atau persyaratan yang dikehendaki dalam karakteristik lahannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perairan Ketapang memiliki potensi lahan pengembangan rumput laut dengan kelas S1 (sesuai) dan S2 (sesuai bersyarat) seluas 3711,96 Ha dan 492,42 Ha. Peta kesesuaian untuk beberapa metode rumput laut baik metode longline, lepas dasar dan rakit apung seluas 955,82 Ha, 1583,55 Ha dan 1338,11 Ha. Kata Kunci: Perairan Ketapang, Kesesuaian Lahan, Rumput Laut. One type of seaweed from the genus Eucheuma which is quite potential and can be found in Ketapang waters is Eucheuma spinosum. Ketapang District is an area of South Lampung Regency which has the potential to be used as a marine cultivation location. This study aims to determine new locations for the development of sustainable seaweed farming using off-bottom, floating rafts and longline methods. The analytical method used in this research is the scoring method and weighting of all parameter data, while for spatial analysis using the overlay method which combines all the interpolated maps to load new information by matching the desired criteria or requirements in the characteristics of the land. The results showed that Ketapang waters have the potential for seaweed development with classes S1 (appropriate) and S2 (conditionally appropriate) covering 3711.96 hectares and 492.42 hectares. Map of suitability for several methods of seaweed, both the longline method, off bottom and floating rafts covering an area of 955.82 Ha, 1583.55 Ha and 1338.11 Ha.
