Abstract

The research objective was to determine the role of self-efficacy to stress on angkot drivers in Palembang. The study hypothesis that self-efficacy has a role to stress on angkot drivers in Palembang. The study population was all the angkot drivers in Palembang and 104 angkot drivers were used for the research sample, used technique of quota. Self-efficacy and stres was measured by the scale of self-efficacy and stress, with reference to the dimensions of self-efficacy from Bandura (1997) and the symptoms of stress from Hariharan dan Rath (2008). Data analysis using simple regression analysis. The result of the regression analysis obtained by value R=0,646, F=72,953 and p=0,000 (p<0,05). It shows that self-efficacy has a role to stress on angkot driver in Palembang. With R square = 0,417, which mean the role’s self-efficacy toward stres is 41,7%. Thus the hypothesis is accepted.
