Abstract

Organic garbage to this day remains a major problem for the community, especially that of fruits and vegetables, because its strong smell interferes with the sense of smell and can also bring illness to the community and the environment. One effort in reducing the problem of organic waste is the use of the living organism that is often called Hermetiaillucens. The study is carried out in December 2019 to February 2020. Maggots as many as 15 obtained from the cultivated site, maggot were included in every medium treated and maintained from 10 days of age to 18 days. During maintenance there are physical factors such as room temperature, water levels of feed, room humidity and ph of feed at the beginning and end of observation. At the end of maintenance a specific feed consumption is calculated and survival rate observed. Media with treats of 75%fruit: 25%vegetables give specific feed and survival rate consumption rates with treatment of others, with the fed fed ingredients it is known that outlets prefer more strongly with fruit percentage than fruit and vegetable percentage alone or with more dominant vegetable percentage.
