Abstract
The population is increasing and growing society understanding of the importance of nutritious food, causing the animal protein needs to be increased. Broiler chicken and layer chicken are some of many sources of animal protein which is recognized and loved by the community. Broiler chicken and layer chicken cultivated by poultry businesses to take out the meat and eggs. But there is a major obstacle in development of the poultry business, that is a disease caused by endoparasites that can be caused losses economic for breeder. The research was to knew the variety of endoparasites in broiler chicken and layer chicken and other factors that affecting the presence of parasites in broiler and layer chicken. This research was beneficial for gave information about variety of endoparasites in broiler chicken and layer chicken, also giving information to the breeder of SOC’s Farm about development of broiler chicken and layer chicken stockbreeding so that preventive work can be implemented to protect the chicken’s health and reduce costs of the Farm. This research was conducted on November 2016 until January 2017. Sample was taken using purposive sampling method based on the characters of clinical symptoms caused by endoparasite infection. The sample was checked by kato-katz method using mellachite green and flotation method with saturated NaCl solution. The results obtained in this research were the types of group Nematode eggs are Ascaridia, Capillaria, Eimeria, Heterakis, Syngamus as well as the type of group Protoza are Eimeria. From this result it can be concluded that the types of endoparasites in broiler found two types of Nematoda classified are Ascaridia and Syngamus and one type of Protozoa classified are Eimeria. In layer chicken were three species classified as Nematoda that Ascaridia, Capillaria and Heterakis as well as the type of classified Protozoa namely Eimeria. Endoparasit existence can be affected by factors such as temperature humidity, feed and maintenance system.
