Abstract

Pengelolaan diet pada penderita Diabetes Mellitus tipe 2 merupakan kunci dalam penatalaksanaan pasien Diabetes Mellitus tipe 2, seringkali hal ini ternyata menjadi luput dari perhatian pasien karena memang sulitnya mengontrol diri terhadap diet yang tepat. Diabetes Mellitus tipe 2 yaitu penyakit yang ditandai dengan hiperglikemia yang terjadi karena kelainan sekresi insulin atau kerja insulin dan salah satu pengendaliannya yaitu dengan pengelolaan diet. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan tentang pengelolaan diet pada pasien Diabetes Mellitus tipe 2 menggunakan media video di puskesmas kotabaru. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian Pra Experimental dengan rancangan One Group Pretest – posttest with control group. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 32 responden 16 untuk kelompok intervensi dan 16 untuk kelompok kontrol yang diambil dengan cara probability sampling. Pengukuran karakteristik responden menggunakan kuesioner. Analisis penelitian ini dengan menggunakan uji t berpasangan dan didapatkan hasil p value=0,0001; p<0,05 yang berarti bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada tingkat pengetahuan responden sebelum dan setelah diberikan pendidikan kesehatan melalui media video pada kelompok intervensi. Media video ini dapat di rekomendasikan untuk penderita Diabetes mellitus tipe 2 maupun masyarakat dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan mengenai pengelolaan diet.
