Abstract

This research is a descriptive research aim to describe the state of perceptions value of grade X high school students toward Mathematics using learning mathematics modeling in Senior High School number 6 Palembang. Perceptions studied were students' perceptions of values focused on four components, namely (1) Interest, (2) General Utility, (3) Need for High Achievement, and (4) Personal Cost. The research subjects were 34 students of Senior High School number 6 Palembang in 2018/2019. Data collection techniques used were questionnaire and interview. Data analysis using the table of high school students' Mathematical Perception Categories by the Directorate of High School Development. The results of the data analysis show that mathematics modeling learning has a positive impact on students' perceived values. Interest test results are 82% students, General Utility test results are 91% students, Need for High Achievement test results are 82% students, and Personal Cost results are 71% students. It can be concluded that there is a positive impact between learning mathematics modeling on students' perceived values
