Abstract
Berdasarkan rumusan masalah, peneliti melakukan penelitian ini dengan tujuan: 1. Mengetahui panasnya baja spon pada knalpot berbahan dasar baja spons. 2. Mengetahui panas bodi mesin menggunakan knalpot berbahan dasar baja spons dan knalpot standar. 3. Cara memanaskan bodi knalpot menggunakan knalpot berbahan dasar baja spons dan knalpot standar Honda Scoopy-fi. Panas knalpot berbasis sponge steel memiliki panas dalam knalpot yang lebih tinggi dari knalpot standart Honda scoopy-fi. Perlu adanya pengembangan lanjutan pada knalpot berbasis sponge steel agar panas di dalam knalpot tidak dapat merambat keluar (terisolasi) tanpa menggunakan lapisan asbes.
