Abstract

The research location of the Halang Formation is in the Bengbulang area, Cilacap Regency, Central Java Province. The research area has a wide distribution the Halang Formation. The Halang Formation has a turbidite sequence This research was conducted at 3 trajectories of the research location. The research was conducted using the Measuring Section method and also taking data on the physical characteristics of the rock. This study aims to explain the characteristics of facies, the correlation of depositional patterns based on the results of biostratigraphic analysis. Biostratigraphic analysis of the Halang Formation at the research location has an age range of Late Miocene - Early Pliocene (N14 - N19) in the upper batial zone. The facies in the study area are interpreted as belonging to the Middle Fan and Lower Fan. Keywords: Halang Formation, Turbidite, Bengbulang
