Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out what percentage of the level of wear or criticality of the TE (Turbine End) BE (Blower End) Bearings and seals at 3 years or overhoul on the locomotive CC 204 turbocharger. The study was conducted at PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) UPT Balai Yasa Lahat located at PJKA Hospital, Kec. Lahat, Kab. Lahat, Prov. South Sumatra. Object of research on turbocharger components. This study uses an analysis method where the researcher observes, retrieves data, and calculates. The results of the study found that the criticality or wear of turbocharger components especially TE (Turbine End) BE (Blower End) Bearings and Seals in CC 204 locomotives, there are different sizes between TE (Turbine End) BE (Blower End) bearings and seals, wear impact and cella produced by friction and temperature changes. If it has exceeded the specified size limit, then the object will be replaced with a new one.
