Abstract

This study aims to determine the growth and yield of shallot applicated various compositions of vermicompost and NPK fertilizers. The research was conducted from March to May 2020 in This research was carried out in the experimental field of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya Utara District, Ogan Ilir Regency. The study used a factorial randomized block design (FRBD) which consisted of two factors. The first factor were Vermicompost organic fertilizer, consisting of V_0= Soil without Vermicompost (100%: 0%), V_1 = Mixture of Soil and Vermicompost (90%: 10%), V_2 = mixture of Soil and Vermicompost (80%: 20%) and V_3 = mixture of Soil and Vermicompost (70%: 30%). The second factor were inorganic NPK fertilizer, consisting of N_0 = 0 g NPK per polybag (0 kg ha-1) 〖,N〗_1 = 0.6 g NPK per polybag (150 kg ha-1), N_2= 1.2 g NPK per polybag (300 kg ha-1) and〖 N〗_3 = 1.8 g NPK per polybag (450 kg ha-1). The provision vermicompost V_3= (Soil 70%: 30% Vermicompost) per polybag and N_3 = 1.8 g NPK per polybag is the best combination treatment in increasing plant height, number of bulbs, bulb diameter and bulb dry weight. Meanwhile, the vermicompost dose V_3 = (Soil 70%: 30% Vermicompost) per polybag and N_2 = 1.2 g NPK per polybag were the best combination treatments in increasing the number of leaves and fresh weight of bulbs. Based on this research, the use of vermicompost fertilizer V_3 = (Soil 70%: 30% Vermicompost) per polybag and N_3 = 1.8 g NPK per polybag was used for shallots culvivation.
