Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mengetahui tingkat imbal hasil (returri) saham pada sektor pertambangan dan 2) mengetahui tingkat risiko (risk) saham pada sektor pertambangan selama periode Maret- Agustus 2008. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa selama Maret-Agustus 2008, tingkat imbal hasil (retum) rata-rata yang dihasilkan oleh perusahaan relatif kecil bahkan ada yang bernilai negatif. Dilihat dari tingkat risiko (risk) menunjukkan bahwa risiko (risk) yang dihasilkan cukup tinggi. Tingkat risiko (risk) saham lebih besar dari tingkat risiko pasar. Untuk memutuskan melakukan investasi pada sektor pertambangan yang listing di Bursa Efek Indonesia para investor harus mampu memprediksi tetjadinya perubahan kondisi pasar yang dapat mempengaruhi pergerakan harga saham. Sehingga tingkat keuntungan yang dihasilkan dari investasi tersebut menjadi maksimal.
