Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal dalam representasi gambar pada materi Hukum Newton. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri 4 Rejang Lebong pada kelas XI IPA 1 tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 31 siswa kelas XI IPA 1. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif yaitu metode penelitian yang dimaksudkan untuk mendapatkan gambaran kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal dalam representasi gambar pada materi Hukum Newton. Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal dalam representasi gambar dari hasil pengelompokan kategori kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa dengan persentase masing-masing kategorinya yaitu 54,83% siswa masuk dalam kategori kurang, 19,35% siswa masuk dalam kategori cukup, 12,90% masuk dalam kategori sangat kurang, 9,68% siswa masuk dalam kategori baik dan 3,23% siswa masuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh diketahui bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah didominasi oleh kategori kurang dan yang paling sedikit yaitu kategori sangat baik.
