Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi dan membahas kineija keuangan PT. Mustika Ratu, Tbk dengan menggunakan konsep EVA, apakah telah terjadi nilai tambah ekonomis pada perusahaan tersebut. Metode analisis yang digunakan penulis adalah metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif yang merupakan cara merumuskan dan menafsirkan data yang ada sehingga memberikan gambaran nyata mengenai keadaan perusahaan melalui pengumpulan, menyusun dan menganalisis tentang masalah yang ada. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kineija keuangan perusahaan dengan pendekatan EVA belum memberikan nilai tambah ekonomis bagi perusahaan dan para penanam modal. Hal ini ditunjukkan nilai EVA yang negatif selama periode penelitian 2006-2011. Hasil EVA yang negatif disebabkan besarnya biaya modal dan keputusan manajemen dalam menggunakan sumber dana pinjaman dari hutang terlalu besar. Kondisi ini menyebabkan beban dana pinjaman menjadi tinggi yang pada gilirannya memperkecil nilai EVA. Hal ini mengidinkasikan bahwa kineija keuangan PT. Mustika Ratu, Tbk Kurang baik.
