Abstract
Background: The career selection process is a very important process for every medical student. Careers in the medical field vary greatly, ranging from clinical to non-clinical careers. However, there are still many students who are hesitant when choosing the medical career they will pursue. This is due to a lack of discussion about careers, and a reduction in the exposure of students to other medical career variations, causing a low level of knowledge of medical students regarding variations in other medical careers. Therefore, interventions related to medical careers need to be done to be able to improve the insights of medical students and to help students improve careers in medicine, so that students must be confident when deciding which medical careers to pursue in the future. Method: This study is a quasi-experimental with a pre-test and post-test control group study design. Pre-clinical students which include in the inclusion and exclusion criteria as many as 61 people were taken as samples by consecutive sampling technique. Data was collected by recruiting participants, pre-test, intervention from resource persons, post-test then the results of the pre-test and post-test were analyzed using Wilcoxon and Mann Whitney statistical tests. Result: The results of the Wilcoxon analysis showed the influence of mini medjob on improving career self efficacy of students (p = 0,000) Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between the effect of Mini Medjob on improving career self efficacy of Sriwijaya University medical students in 2018
