Abstract

Salah satu cara untuk memacu dan meningkatkan pertumbuhan ekonomi yaitu melalui investasi. Investasi merupakan salah satu bentuk pembiyaan pembangunan dalam kegiatan produksi serta perbaikan produktivitas dan Capital. Dalam kondisi ini, investasi swasta dan perusahaan milik daerah sangat diharapkan sebagai pemacu pertumbuhan dan pembangunan ekonomi daerah (enginee of growth). Daerah juga diharapkan mampu menarik investor untuk mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi daerah serta menimbulkan efek multiplier yang besar. Untuk itu, tulisan ini menganalisis mengenai pengaruh investasi pemerintah dan investasi swasta terhadap besarnya Produk Domestik Regional Bruto di Sumatera Selatan. Teknik analisis yang digunakan yaitu secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Anlisisis kualitatif menjelaskan secara verbal pengaruh investasi pemerintah dan investasi swasta terhadap besarnya PDRB di Sumatera Selatan, sedangkan teknik analisis kuantitatif dengan menggunakan alat perhitungan berupa SPSS, dengan melakukan beberapa pengujian guna memperoleh hasil estimasi yang sesuai. Selanjutnya dari beberapa pengujian secara kuantitatif tidak diperoleh hasil estimasi yang sesuai dengan analisa ekonomi dan ekonometrik dimana investasi pemerintah dan investasi swasta memiliki pengaruh terhadap besarnya PDRB di Sumatera Selatan, Namun secara ekonometrika pengaruhnya tidak signifikan.
