Abstract
INDONESIA IS A COUNTRY WITH A TROPICAL CLIMATE. INDONESIA'S TERRITORY HAS FERTILE SOIL AND IS OVERGROWN WITH MANY KINDS OF PLANTS, TO BE PRECISE 80 PERCENT OF PLANTS FROM AROUND THE WORLD CAN BE GROWN ON MAINLAND INDONESIA. INDONESIA HAS APPROXIMATELY 35,000 SPECIES OF PLANTS, BUT ONLY 25% OF THEM HAVE BEEN CULTIVATED. INFORMATION AND STUDY ON THE IMPORTANCE OF BIODIVERSITY TO HUMAN LIFE IS SLOWLY STARTING TO FADE AND MANY PLANT SPECIES ARE BEGINNING TO BE THREATENED WITH EXTINCTION AS A RESULT OF TIMES SUCH AS BURNING FOREST LANDS WHICH CAN CHANGE THE LOCAL CLIMATE AND HUNTING FOR PLANTS, THESE CASES ARE INCREASINGLY WORRYING FOR THE SUSTAINABILITY OF LIVING THINGS THAT IS ON EARTH. JUDGING FROM THE PROBLEMS RELATED TO BOTANICAL PLANTS, IT IS NECESSARY TO HAVE A PLACE THAT CAN CULTIVATE THEM AND PROVIDE EDUCATION TO THE PUBLIC ON PLANT SCIENCE SO THAT PEOPLE CAN RECOGNIZE AND PROMOTE THE LOVE OF PLANT WEALTH IN INDONESIA. THEREFORE WE NEED A BUILDING THAT CAN PROVIDE EDUCATION AND A PLACE TO SHOW THINGS THAT RELATED TO BOTANY IN AN EDUCATIONAL AND RECREATIONAL MANNER THAT CAN ATTRACT AND ATTRACT VISITORS. THIS IS WHAT CAUSES THE AUTHOR TO BE INTERESTED IN DESIGNING THE BOTANICAL SCIENCE MUSEUM WHICH IS A MUSEUM BUILT TO PROVIDE EDUCATION AND INFORMATION ABOUT BOTANICAL SCIENCE. THIS MUSEUM CONTAINS A COLLECTION OF HERBARIUMS OR PLANTS THAT ARE PRESERVED WITH THEIR BENEFITS AND DISPLAY MEDIA INFORMATION ABOUT BOTANICAL SCIENCE. THE MAIN FUNCTION OF THE BOTANICAL SCIENCE MUSEUM IS AS AN EDUCATIONAL CENTER RELATED TO BOTANICAL SCIENCE AND AS A TOURIST SPOT IN THE CITY OF PALEMBANG.
