Abstract

This study examines the level of technical efficiency in the fertilizer industry in Indonesia from 2000 to 2014. The type of data needed in this research is quantitative data, namely using panel data, namely a combination of time series (time-series data) and cross-section data. The data analysis used is the analysis of the Stochastic Frontier Approach (SFA). The results of this study are (1) The efficiency of the fertilizer industry in Indonesia during the period 2000-2014 indicates inefficiency. (2) Based on the factors of production, it shows that the input of labor and raw materials has a positive and insignificant effect. This is because of the labor, the fertilizer industry is capital intensive while the use of the raw material due to gas price issue determine by Integration fertilizer.
