Abstract

Cutting Stock Problem (CSP) is a problem of cutting stocks into items according to consumer demand with certain cutting rules. This study used Toledo et al. (2013) research data in the form of 7 types of irregular shaped items. This study used Greedy Randomized Adaptive Search Procedure (GRASP) method to determine the cutting pattern then formulated it into a Dotted Board model. Based on the results it showed that the GRASP method produced an optimal cutting pattern which was then formulated into the Dotted Board model. The optimal solution of the Dotted Board model in this study is 12 sheets of stocks that used to fulfil the consumer demand.
