Abstract

Ekspektasi inflasi merupakan ramalan (ekpektasi) terhadap harga barang atau inflasi pada periode mendatang (6-12 Bulan). Ekspektasi inflasi dalam penelitian ini didasarkan pada perubahan nilai tukar, suku bunga deposito, inflasi sebelumnya dan juga ekspektasi expert. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah 1) untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh ekspektasi masyarakat terhadap inflasi dan 2) faktor-faktor apa saja yang dapat mempengaruhi inflasi itu sendiri. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kota Palembang dengan menggunakan data sekunder bulan Januari 2004 - Februari 2007. Penelitian ini menggunakan model regresi berganda dan dari hasilnya dapat saya simpulkan bahwa ekspektasi expert mempengaruhi fluktuasi inflasi secara signifikan.
