Abstract
It has been more than three-quarters of a century, Indonesia has lived in this archipelago land. The integrity of the state has been fought for and is still being maintained into the future. As a legacy from their predecessors, the heroes who died on the battlefield, who had sacrificed body and soul, left personal interests for the sake of common interests, did everything they could to obtain the freedom that was snatched away from the invaders who took advantage of the friendliness and gentleness of the Indonesian people of the archipelago. Today, various problems and challenges arise in developing and preserving the museum. One of the most crucial ones, namely the low level of public awareness and concern for museums. The museum lacks the appeal of the public to fill their spare time. It needs processing in terms of design in the form of systematic spatial processing, having a clear flow so that the public can enjoy and understand the exhibition that is taking place at the Museum. To fulfill this idea, a historical strategic area is needed, such as being in a complex with high historical value. In addition to harmonizing functions and forms, it also supports other historic areas. Strategically in the midst of sufficient density to arouse the interest of the general public, students, scientists, or even foreign tourists. The location must also be healthy, defined as a location that is free from pollution, comfortable to visit and has natural conditions that do not damage the collections or objects in the museum.
