Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine how the intermediate cost and rate of efficiency in purification petroleum refining and gas industry. The data used in this research are secondary data; input value, output value, and value added of purification petroleum refming and gas industry since 1998-2008. The basic theory used are cost production and efficiency. The analyze technique used are descriptive qualitative and descriptive quantitative. The results of quantitative analysis doesn’t significant when between intermediate cost and rate of efficiency doesn’t have affect to each other. While the result of qualitative analysis shows that the rising of intermediate cost doesn’t followed by the rate of efficiency.
