Abstract

This research is aim to identify the unit labor cost (ULC) and import contain that influenced Indonesian manufacturing industry competitiveness. It used the secondary data from 2000-2008 that collected from Central Bureau of Statistics. The analysis shows that the Indonesian manufacturing industry was less competitive than other countries in 2001 to 2006 because the value of ULC higher than other countries, but in 2007 to 2008 it shows that the competitiveness has improved. It is happened because the increasing of cost production and Indonesian import still higher. Otherwise, from the comparative advantage side that used Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA), the competitiveness of Indonesia decreased in intemational market.
