Abstract

Based on the Health Department of Palembang city, The scope of high immunization was not followed by the number of measles case incidents that were supposed to be low. Even in the last five years, it was still heartbreaking, which in 2012 there were 140 cases happened, and then in 2013, it increased by 195 cases. In 2014 it was increasing more than 100% which was 280 cases. Afterward, it decreased in 2015 with the case of measles as much as 280 cases, but in 2016 it increased to be 416 cases. The purpose of this research is to analyze the program of measles immunization in the Health Department of Palembang city region year of 2017. This research is qualitative research with an evaluation approach. The collected data got through in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis. There were seven informants in this research. The result of the research was that the human resources had a double task, and had trained, the allocation of particular funds of measles immunization was insufficient, broken infrastructure and the guidelines in the implementation and the timing following the national plans. The planning of activities has been going well. With good task distribution between Health Department of Palembang City and Public Health Center, the implementation of the program is well organized. But, there were still parents who refuse their children to be immunized. Monitoring of recording and reporting had been going well. Suggestions for the Health Department of Palembang City to rearrange the job desks of eexecuting officers, increase the budget for funds, provided adequate facilities, provided guidelines for the implementation of the immunization program. Suggest for Public Health Center to provide information to the community about the benefits of immunization.
