Abstract

This study was aimed at analysing the influence of cash social assistance on the household consumption affecting the household expenditure patterns in the city center and suburbs of Palembang. The data used in this study were primary data with a sample of 84 respondents. This study used t-test to analyse the data. The results of this study indicated that the average household consumption was Rp. 1,390,000 prior to receiving the cash social assistance and it became Rp. 1,720,000 subsequent to receiving the cash social assistance. There was an increase of Rp. 330,000 (24%).
