Abstract

This study is aimed at identifying the influence of foreign direct investments and the Central Government’s expenditures on the economic growth in South Sumatra. It uses secondary data of 1993 — 2010 and applies a quantitative analysis technique, that is, multiple regression technique called Ordinary Least Square (OLS). The analysis shows that both the foreign direct investments and the govemment’s expenditures influenced significantly on the economic growth of South Sumatra. The regression analysis indicates they have a positive relationship.
