Abstract
Penelitian mengenai pengaruh temperatur dan waktu pirolisis terhadap karakteristik fisikokimia asap cair dari ampas tebu dan serbuk gergaji kayu puspa telah dilakukan. Pirolisis dilakukan pada rentang temperatur 300-500°C dengan waktu 30-90 menit. Sifat fisik yang diamati adalah massa jenis dan rendemen, sedangkan sifat kimia asap cair yang diamati meliputi pH, kadar asam total dan kadar fenol. Data karakteristik asap cair serbuk gergaji kayu puspa terbaik pada temperatur 500°C selama 90 menit dengan massa jenis 0,18 g/mL, rendemen 1,93%, pH 2,86, kadar asam total 0,066% dan kadar fenol 36,9 mg/L. Sedangkan, data sifat fisik dan kimia asap cair ampas tebu terbaik pada temperatur 450°C selama 90 menit dengan massa jenis 0,163 g/mL, rendemen 2,09%, pH 2,72, kadar asam total 0,556% dan kadar fenol 7,8 mg/L. Data spektroskopi GC-MS asap cair ampas tebu menunjukkan kandungan fenol dengan luas area 3,55%. Sedangkan, data spektroskopi GC-MS asap cair serbuk gergaji kayu puspa menunjukkan kandungan fenol dengan luas area 1,84%.
