Abstract
The study to be carried out is a mapping of groundwater potential in relation to forest and land fires (karhutla) in Lempuing District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency (OKI). This study is focused on determining the potential source of groundwater to tackle forest and land fires (karhutla) in Lempuing District. Based on the hydrogeological map of the Ogan Komering Ilir Regency Groundwater Basin, this area has a large enough groundwater potential, one of which is CAT Lubuk Linggau-Muara Enim where Lempuing District is included in the scope of this Groundwater Basin. Geoelectric measurements of one-dimensional resistivity (1 D) at the site to determine the geometry of the groundwater basin and the configuration of the aquifer system using the Wenner configuration. The sounding point position of the measurement used is different according to the path under study. The results of processing with IP2Win software obtained the position of groundwater below the surface, namely at line 1, line 2, and line 3 based on the analysis of the Muara Enim Formation, there was no water-bearing layer found. On line 4, the results show that in the Muara Enim Formation, it is possible to have a water-bearing layer at a depth of 18.4 m to 33.8 m due to the tuffaceous sandstone component. In Lempuing District, OKI Regency is contained in a free aquifer which is composed of tuffaceous sandstone sediment units. Groundwater flow modeling in Lempuing District, OKI District obtained 1 catchment area. The groundwater flow pattern tends to follow the contours of the Lempuing area, having a water flow movement from north to south with variations from west to east. Knowing the potential for groundwater, groundwater resources can be optimally utilized for combating forest and land fires in Lempuing District.
