Abstract

This study aims to find out the types of dragonflies (Odonata) in Segamit Semendo Muara Enim Plateau of South Sumatra Province and as a biology subject in high school. This study used survey method with sampling using insectnet (inseknet) in three locations, namely rice field, plantation, and river area. This research was conducted from November 2016 until October 2017. Data analysis was done descriptively. From this study found as many as 13 types of dragonflies belonging to the three tribes among the Libellulidae tribe as many as 9 species, the Coenagrionidae as much as 3 species, and the Calopterygidae tribe as much as 1 species. Types found are Orthetrum glaucaum, Brachythemis contaminata, Orthetrum sabina, Pantala flavescens, Trithemis festiva, Trithemis pallidinervis, Crocothemis servilia, Orthetrum pruinosum, Sympetrum foscolombii, Mortonagrion varralli, Pseudagrion rubriceps, Ischnura senegalensis, and Calopteryx maculata. Information on the types of dragonflies (Odonata) in the Segamit Semendo Semendo Muara Enim Plateau of South Sumatra Province can be used as a source of high school biology on high biodiversity material in SMA that is in the form of Student Work Sheets (LKPD) with a high level of validity.
