Abstract
Rubber plant is a leading commodity of plantation crops that grow in various regions of indonesia which has an important role in improving the economy because it is a source of foreign exchange for the country. The production of latex produced can be influenced by the growth and condition of the rubber plant, but there are various obstacles that cause latex production to decrease, one of which is Colletotrichum. gloeosporioides leaf fall disease. Latex serum as a result of latex processing contains many types of proteins that act as plant disease defense. The study aims to determine the ability of latex protein at a certain concentration to inhibit Colletotrichum gloeosporioides. The study was conducted by taking 3 liters of fresh latex clone GT 1 then coagulating with 60 ml of 5% formic acid every 1 liters. Latex serum precipitation by adding 2N ammonium sulfae ((NH)2SO4) and produces 30 grams of latex protein. Analysis of protein content contained in serum latex protein of 30.81%. Latex protein is not maximal in inhibiting C. gloeosporioides in vitro and cannot reduce C. gloeosporioides damage in detached leaves.
