Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan soal Higher Order Thinking Skill di SMA Negeri 10 Palembang pada materi fluida statis. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes tipe pilihan ganda dan sebab-akibat disertai dengan alasan. Sampel penelitiannya adalah peserta didik XI MIA 8 yang berjumlah 31 orang. Hasil penelitian didapatkan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik termasuk dalam kategori sangat kurang dengan presentase 61,3 %. Sedangkan pada presentase tiap indikator dengan indikator menganalisis (C4) sebesar 35,12%, mengevaluasi (C5) sebesar 18,81 % dan indikator mencipta/mengkreasi (C6) didapatkan presentase sebesar 13,70%. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan informasi tentang kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik pada materi fluida statis dan dapat dijadikan referensi guna melakukan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi (Higher Order Thinking Skill) peserta didik.
