Abstract

Prematurity is one of the biggest main cause of morbidity and mortality of infant including the neonatal death. Babies born at a tender age of pregnancy increase the number of pain and death. Research objectives to analyze the link between antenatal care's visit and premature birth in Indonesia. The study uses a cross sectional study design that using a secondary data riskesdas 2018. The sample of this study is the housewife who gave birth and filled out the full data at riskesdas 2018. The sample collecting method using multistage sampling, which uses the complex sample analysis. According to analysis, 5.3% of mothers in Indonesia became premature. Statistical tests show a connection between antenatal care visit (p-value = <0,0001), the mother's age (p-value = 0,013), the maternal home region (p-value = <0,0001), pregnancy disorders (p-value = <0,0001), the anc inspection component (p-value = 0,015), parity (p-value = 0,004), birth sequence (p-value = <0,0001) and fe's tablet consumption (p-value = 0,002) with the occurrence of premature partus in Indonesia, 2018. Multivariat's analysis suggests that the variable antenatal care would affect the incidence of premature partus with p-value = <0,0001 after being controlled by variables of maternal home region, pregnancy disorders, and birth sequence. Analysis shows that the impact of antenatal care's visit was 2,202 with 95% CI (1,866-2,600). Expect the pregnant mother to take recommended antenatal care visits and report herself if there are complications of pregnancy in the early detection of the interference.
