Abstract
The goal of this research is to use a cold sintering procedure to make hydroxyapatite ceramics. Cold sintering is a method of producing hydroxyapatite ceramics in which the material is sintered at a low temperature and with a short compaction time. The experiment was carried out at temperatures of 200°C and compaction pressures of 400, 500, 600, and 700 MPa. The average percentage value of porosity is calculated from the results of density testing performed on each pressure parameter, specifically at pressures of 400 MPa, 500 MPa, 600 MPa, and 700 MPa, the average percentage value of density values decreases with increasing the applied pressure. The density of the material produced in the cold sintering compaction process is affected by the applied pressure. The obtained spectrum was found to correlate to the graph created by the ICDD standard in the XRD test. Compressive strength tests were performed on each pressure parameter of hydroxyapatite ceramics at temperatures of 200°C and pressures of 400, 500, 600, and 700 MPa. The average compressive strength value increased along with the increase in pressure applied to the cold sintering compaction process, according to the results of testing the compressive strength of hydroxyapatite ceramic material through a cold sintering process with pressures of 400 MPa, 500 MPa, 600 MPa, and 700 MPa.
