Abstract

This research is by the realization of budget that has not reached the budget target at Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Office in South Sumatra. Besides that, there was a change in leadership in South Sumatra in 2019 that probably there are some inovation that can cause the system and organization of local budgets change to improve budget governance, so it is necessary to know how the performance of budget management in the agency. Type of this research is descriptive statistical research with mixture research methods. The types of data that used, in this research are primary data and secondary data, and data collection techniques were carried out by documentation and interview methods. This research used performance measurement ratios theory by Mahmudi. Results of the research shows that the performance of the Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection’s Departement in South Sumatra budget managemant 2017 – 2019 in Expenditure compatibility analysis on the occurrence of discrepancies in operating expenditures, capital expenditures, and direct and indirect expenditure to the total expenditure at the Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection Departement in South Sumatera. Spending growth analysis has a positive growth with an average of 0.15%. This growth is influenced by policies that used in the relevant fiscal year and the percentage of efficiency spending about 91.65%, which means the office has made efficiency even though it is included in the less efficient category. Researchers suggest that the Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection Departement in South Sumatera increase the allocation expenditure activities in order to achieve shopping harmony, improve coordination between parties who are directly involved in each activity, and emphasize commitment to officials budget users in order to improve the quality of budget use and budget accountability
