Abstract

The development of modern era that has made by vehicle of technology becomes more advanced. The advancement of this technology, we are required to use energy as efficiently as possible due to the availability of energy is getting thinner. Currently the role of automotive industry is very big in the development of technology in Indonesia, especially in the field of transportation which continues to increase demand for production of cars and motorcycles. The perpetrators in the automotive industry do not cease to make improvements for the convenience, user safety, economic value and the environmental impact it caused. Therefore, technological advances in the automotive field make people to think and try to find a tool or make modifications in everything with the aim to improve engine performance. To offset the number of vehicles with limited fuel availability, then used automotive technology in the field of thermal materials burn. Motor vehicle technology must be fuel-efficient without reducing performance to keep it working optimally. To find out the amount of energy that can be converted into meticulous work, knowing the location and amount of lost and unused energy is used an eksergi analyst method. To facilitate this research, it is formulated some problems that become reference of research, those by knowing the variation of load and engine speed that has been determined to get the value of a motor gasoline performance, by using Premium fuel from Pertamina DEX.. This study aims to determine the value of energy, exergy and compare it, looking for the highest efficiency in each variation of rotation. The rotation variation used in this research method is at 1900 rpm rotation, 2100 rpm, 2300 rpm, and 2500 rpm. While the load variations use loads of 1 N, 2 N, 3 N, and 4 N. To find out the results of the test, a digital thermometer and thermocouple thermometer that has the ability to read temperatures above 13500 C. The obtained showed that the calculation of the largest level of fuel consumption is on the rotation 2500 rpm with 3 Newton while the smallest is at 1900 rpm spin with 2 Newton. The highest effective efficiency is 17.25% and the lowest is 4.62%. Rising load on the motor causes increased efficiency of the exergy. The greatest exergy efficiency is 16.27% while the smallest is 4.36%. The biggest destructed exergy value is at 2500 rpm rotation with 4 Newton load while the smallest at 1900 rpm rotation with load 4. Efficiency Carnot has the greatest efficiency value. Its biggest value is 77,77%.
