Abstract

At the end of 2019 the world was shocked by the corona virus outbreak or Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) which resulted in a global pandemic throughout the world, causing changes in health behavior in the community in Tegal Rejo Village, Lawang Kidul District, Muara Enim Regency. The purpose of this study was to identify and understand public health behavior which includes three categories classified by Becker (1979) that is healthy behavior, sick behavior and sick role behavior. The method used in this study is a qualitative method. The research strategy used is descriptive qualitative. This study uses data collection techniques carried out in this study by in-depth interviews, observation, documentation with ten (10) people as main informants and one (1) key informant. The results of this study are known based on observations in the field before and during the Covid-19 pandemic, people's behavior in maintaining and improving health during the Covid-19 pandemic experienced differences. Where during the Covid-19 pandemic, people are more extra to maintain a healthy lifestyle in a modern way or in a natural or traditional way to obtain health, both physically and spiritually. By maintaining a healthy lifestyle and complying with health protocols and carrying out physical activities such as sports more regularly than before this virus, so that the body is healthy and protected from the corona virus.
