The hypothesis of this study that there is a relationship between work stress and life satisfaction, that there is a relationship between work stress and positive affect, work stress and negative affect of nurses during the covid-19 pandemic in South Sumatera. The population of this study were nurses who worked during the covid-19 pandemic in South Sumatera. The sample in this study were 150 nurses and for the trial as many as 50 nurses. Sampling in this study using accidental sampling technique. The measuring instrument in this study uses a subjective well-being scale developed by Diener (2009) which has been modified, the SWLS (satisfaction with life scale) and the SPANE (scale of positive and negative experience). To measure work stress using a work stress scale that refers to aspects of Beehr and Newman (1978). Data analysis uses Pearson product moment correlation. The results of the correlation analysis between work stress and life satisfaction showed that the p-value = 0.000 (p <0.05), and r = -0,673, work stress and positive affect showed that the p-value = 0.000 (p <0.05), and r = r = -0,516, work stress and negative affect showed that the p-value = 0.000 (p <0.05), and r= 0,506. The results show the proposed hypotheses are accepted.
