Abstract

This research is entitled "Communication Strategy of the Health Office of South Sumatra Province in Disseminating the Implementation of Covid-19 Vaccination". This study aims to determine the communication strategy of the South Sumatra Provincial Health Office in socializing the implementation of the Covid-19 vaccination. The theory used in this study is the theory of Communication Strategy from Hafied Cangara (2014) using a qualitative descriptive method. The data obtained were sourced from in-depth interviews with three (3) key informants and two (2) supporting informants, observations, and documentation studies. The results of this study indicate that the communication strategy carried out by the South Sumatra Provincial Health Office has fulfilled the elements of the communication strategy, namely determining communicators, setting targets, compiling messages and choosing media and communication channels. The South Sumatra Provincial Health Office in implementing communication strategies should pay more attention to communication strategies related to messages that will be conveyed to the public.
