Abstract

The demand for rice consumption that constantly increasing can affect the level of food security in Indonesia. Therefore, the agricultural sector is crucial and needs to be considered a staple food supplier for the community. What can be done in achieving food security is to continue to update agricultural practices in accordance with the technical guidelines for cultivation or Good Agriculture Practices (GAP) to be more productive and efficient. Telang Rejo Village has received agricultural development assistance programs such as Selamatkan Rawa Sejahterakan Petani (Serasi). However, many farmers still do not implement and unaware how to practice good cultivation technical guidelines or Good Agriculture Practices (GAP) on their farms. In fact, the implementation of GAP in addition to increasing rice production will certainly increase farmers' income. The objectives of this study were 1) Knowing the level of application of GAP rice to rice farming in Telang Rejo Village, Muara Telang District 2) Knowing the factors that affect the level of application of GAP rice in Telang Rejo Village, Muara Telang District, Banyuasin Regency 3) Analyze the large differences in production and income of farmers with low, medium, and high levels of GAP application in Telang Rejo Village, Muara Telang District, Banyuasin Regency. The study was carried out in Telang Rejo Village, Muara Telang District, Banyuasin Regency. Data collection was carried out in April 2021.
