Abstract

This research discusses the "Socio-Economic Aspects of Sand Mining in Teluk-Lubuk Village, Belimbing District, Muara Enim Regency". The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data obtained through interview, observation and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis methods. Researcher interviewed 10 hamlets of three Teluk-Lubuk villagers and 3 mine owners. After conducting the analysis, it can be concluded that the existence of sand mining in the vicinity of community settlements has a positive impact on the economic aspects of the community, with the mining, it creates jobs for the community, increases opinions and reduces unemployment and there is also a negative impact on social aspects for the surrounding community. mining where the loss of activities and community interaction on the riverbank, the lack of concern for the community and mining authorities.
