Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of the Curup Lemutu waterfall tourist attraction in Tanjung Bulan village, Tanjung Agung district, Muara Enim regency and to map the factors that influence it, both supporting factors and inhibiting factors. Data collection techniques used were interview, observation and documentation techniques. The main data sources were obtained from key informants such as the head of the sub-district of Tanjung Agung, the head of the Tanjung Bulan village, the head of the Tanjung Bulan hamlet, tourism-aware community groups, the surrounding community and visitors to the Curup Lemutu waterfall. Data analysis techniques are carried out by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. This study uses the management theory of George. R. Terry which has four dimensions, namely planning, organizing, implementing and supervising. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the development of the Curup Lemutu waterfall not yet fully managed to the maximum. Several factors that influence the implementation of tourism development can be divided into 2 factors, namely supporting factors and inhibiting factors. The supporting factors are attractiveness, the existence of tourism-aware community groups and training which is held regularly once a month. The supporting factors for security are the cooperation between the government and the surrounding community as well as the community’s concern for village security. While the inhibiting factors are infrastructure and non-infrastructure inhibiting factors, namely the lack of development funds, the bupati of Muara Enim regency who always changes in a short time, changing systems and regulations, lack of concern for the Muara Enim regency regional government, the long distance between objects Curup Lemutu waterfall tour with a city center and highway and the absence of the Tanjung Bulan village government to seek other alternative funds. In the results of previous research, the type of content of the implementation of the development of a tourist attraction is the most dominant, namely the need for sufficient funds and adequate human resources, while the results of this study show different facts where the implementation of tourism development is still lacking in funds, inadequate road access and lack of attention Muara Enim district government.
