Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan permainan sate kata dalam mengelompokkan jenis kata pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri 192 Palembang. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode komparatif dengan teknik eksperimen semu. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 66 orang dengan rincian 33 siswa kelas Vc (kelompok eksperimen) mendapat pembelajaran dengan menggunakan permainan sate kata dan 33 orang siswa kelas Va (kelas kontrol) mendapat pembelajaran dengan menggunakan teknik konvensional. Teknik yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah teknik tes, sedangkan teknik analisis data adalah teknik statistik uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rata-rata skor siswa kelas eksperimen dari skor rata-rata pretes yang sebesar 83,36 berubah menjadi 92,96 (skor rata-rata postes). Skor rata-rata postes siswa kelas kontrol juga meningkat, namun tidak mengalami lonjakan seperti pada kelas eksperimen . Rata-rata pretes kelas kontrol adalah 88,53, sedangkan rata-rata postes yang diperoleh siswa kelas kontrol adalah 91,62. Karena hasil pretes telah memperlihatkan bahwa siswa memiliki kemampuan mengelompokkan jenis kata dengan baik yaitu rata-rata 80 dan hasil postes juga mengalami peningkatan, artinya baik penerapan sate kata maupun teknik konvensional sama-sama efektif bila diterapkan dalam pembelajaran mengelompokkan jenis kata pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri 192 Palembang.
