Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh ketimpangan pendapatan dan tingkat kemiskinan terhadap tingkat kriminalitas di kabupaten/kota Provinsi Sumatera Selatan. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data panel yang terdiri dari data cross section yaitu data 17 kabupaten/kota di provinsi Sumatera Selatan dan data time series yaitu data tahun 2014 – 2019. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah regresi linier berganda data panel dengan menggunakan Random Effect Model. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketimpangan pendapatan yang diukur dengan rasio gini berpengaruh positif dan signifikan, begitupula dengan tingkat kemiskinan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap tingkat kriminalitas di provinsi Sumatera Selatan.
