Abstract
Building a computational model to recognize faces is a complex task because faces are complex multidimensional visual models. This study presents a method for detecting objects on the face such as eyes, nose, and mouth using the viola-jones method. There are 3 stages of face detection using the Viola-Jones method, the first is the stage of determining the haar feature, the second is the stage of calculating the Integral Image, and the last is determining the cascade classifier. This study uses 100 datasets in the form of images with 250 x 250 pixels, from 100 datasets used the success rate of this method is 93.25%. The viola-jones method does have the advantage of being precise compared to other face detection methods with an accuracy of 90.9%.
