Abstract
Air is an important component in life, but with increasing physical and industrial development, the higher the level of air pollution produced. One of the elements that pollute the air due to industry is ammonia gas (NH3). Based on these problems, an ammonia gas monitoring device was designed using the MQTT protocol and using the Wemos D1 mini microcontroller. In this study using the MQ-135 sensor which can detect the intensity of changes in gas levels in the air, one of which is ammonia gas (NH3). Then it is processed through the Wemos D1 mini microcontroller until the data results are sent to the Thingsboard to display the sensor detection results in the form of graphs and alarms if the ammonia gas level has passed the 20 ppm threshold. The execution time required from the system to process data is 1 second and the average sending time to thingsboard is ± 1 second.
