Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh media tanam terhadap hasil microgreens rumput gandum (Triticum aestivum L.) serta mendapatkan komposisi media tanam terbaik dalam budidaya microgreens rumput gandum (Triticum aestivum L.). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober sampai November 2020, di Laboratorium Tanah dan Benih Kebun Percobaan Departemen Riset PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja (PUSRI) Kota Palembang, Sumatera Selatan. Rancangan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri atas 7 taraf diantarnya adalah M1 = 100% tanah (v/v), M2 = 75% tanah + 25 % kompos (v/v), M3 = 50% tanah + 50% kompos (v/v), M4 = 25 % tanah + 75% kompos (v/v), M5 = 75 % tanah + 25 % cocopeat (v/v), M6 = 50% tanah + 50% cocopeat (v/v), dan M7 = 25% tanah + 75 % cocopeat (v/v). Peubah yang diamati yaitu persentase daya berkecambahan, tinggi tanaman, panjang akar, berat segar tanaman, berat segar akar, tingkat hijau daun dan nilai pH media. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, komposisi media tanam (M7) 25% tanah + 75 % cocopeat merupakan perlakuan media tanam terbaik untuk pertumbuhan microgreens tanaman rumput gandum.
