Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of working capital turnover, liability and firm size on the profitability of the manufacture companies which are listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2012-2016 periods. The data used are secondary data from companies financial statements. The samples are 124 companies which have been selected by using purposive sampling. The results showed that working capital turnover and short term debt do not have any influence on the return on asset whereas the debt to total asset and firm size has an influence on the return on asset. Future research should add other variables outside the independent variables that affect profitability and understand in advance the characteristic of the companies that are used as sample.
