Abstract

This research aim was to determined obstacles influenced plan of carrier choice of students grade XI in SMA Negeri 11 Palembang. This research using a quantitative approarch. The instrument for collecting data was likert scale include internal factor with indicators interest, talent, knowledge, personality, values, and external factor with indicators condition of the family, the education of schools, the sociality. The population in the study were all students of grade XI amounted to 412. Sample in this research was 80 students with simple random sampling technique. The results showed that 50% of students are in high category caused by interest factor, 39% of students are in moderate category caused by talent factor, 49% of students are in high category caused by knowledge factor, 40% of students are in moderate category caused by personality factor, 40% of students are in low category caused by values factor, 56% of students are in high category caused by family condition factor, 50% of students are in high category caused by educational process at school factor, and 54% of students are in moderate category caused by condition of society.
